Hacking and Hand-Winding: It supports both hacking (stopping the second hand when setting the time) and hand-winding, making it versatile and user-friendly.
Date Function: This movement includes a date complication, which is a useful feature for everyday wear.

Patina

Choose your own patina level. We offer all white lume, warm yellow aged lume to our heavy patina featuring our unique tropical rust patina. In order to create this effect, our artisans developed an oxidized patina method that allowed us to control the aging, resulting in the perfect recreation of a time earned patinated dial.

DON’T Wear Your Watch In The Shower! (Even Your Diver)

So your watch is water resistant or waterproof, and you wonder: can I wear my watch in the shower? There is actually a lot of elements that will prevent you from showering with your favorite piece on.

Don’t wear your watch in the shower. They are not designed to withstand warm water. When your watches cools down after the shower, moist air gets sucked into the case. Doing this repeatedly will deteriorate the movement, even if your watch is water resistant or if it’s a dive watch with a depth rating of 100 m or more.

Why wearing a watch in the shower is a bad idea

Now, you might think: come on, I’m not 100 m deep in water when I shower!

That’s true, but here is the thing: the water freefalls onto your watch. The speed the water gains from falling adds up a lot more pressure than if you were to gently submerge your watch 2 inch (or 5 cm) deep in water.

So the pressure might not be the same as if you were deep diving, but it doesn’t detract from the fact that – yes – a shower puts the water resistance of your watch to the test. Not a crazy amount of pressure, but still.

Hot water can cause gaskets to lose their ability to contract and expand, crowns and pusher to have a harder time screwing in or popping back into place, and the crystal can crack. It’s just the way it is: your watch is a living object, and it ages – just like us.

As a result, over time, your watch may lose some of its water resistance rating. Wearing it in the shower will reduce the amount of time between servicings even more, so that you will have to send it for servicing more often if you want it to perform at factory specifications.

WARRANTY - RETURN POLICY

ONE YEAR INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

Your watch is internationally warranted by True North Watch Co. for one year from the date of purchase for any material or workmanship defects.

This warranty does not cover: glass; batteries; internal or external damage resulting from excessive wear, improper use or mishandling; or damage resulting from service provided from an unauthorized service center.

RETURNS
We offer a full refund, excluding shipping, for all unworn watches returned within seven days of delivery.
UNWORN CONDITION ONLY
We understand that you want to try the watch on your wrist, but all returned watches must be in perfect unworn condition (with all the plastic protection adhesives intact and still glued to the watch), and in their original packaging .
We do not accept slightly worn watches for refunds. If the watch is returned in perfect condition, but the strap has been used or marked, we won’t accept the watch, and it will be returned to you.

Before shipping your return, email us at info@truenorthcollections.com to receive the return instructions and authorization code (RMA). This code is necessary to identify the returning parcel in our warehouse. If you return the watch without the RMA code, we’ll not be able to process it, and we will send it back to you.
